Our marvellous makeover
The
directors and staff of Napp Pharmaceuticals based on the
Science Park have been generous supporters of our charity
for many years. A group of staff from the Engineering Department
contacted us at the end of 2007 and volunteered their services
for a decorating project of our choice. It was agreed that
they would take on the rather large challenge of decorating
the two In-Patient corridors and the area around the Nurses
Station.
The Project was divided into three separate sessions and
a very comprehensive survey of exactly what was required was
carried out. Behind the scenes the Napp Engineering staff
were busy fundraising to fund the project and have now raised
over £3,500. This has meant that in addition to the
redecoration they have been able to replace two old, unsightly
radiators in the corridors and all the double glazed units
that were in need of repair.
Seventeen members of the Department were involved in the
physical work and many more working on our behalf behind the
scenes. The corridors have now been transformed, looking bright,
clean and airy this change is of great benefit to our
patients, their relatives, visitors, staff and volunteers.
The teams hung our new collection of beautiful flower prints,
kindly donated by Sue Reavley of Chaffield Shaw Photography
and our new look has been completed with a new
Reception Desk for Ward Clerk Jenny Read. We are very grateful
to everyone at Napp Pharmaceuticals for making this project
possible. In addition we must thank Chris Trigg Double Glazing
and R M Satt & Son Ltd for their generosity.
